L’autre jour, Andres passe sur Facebook un lien vers l’article de son blogue qui présente une vidéo des 200 Négros (aka les 200 Visionnaires, aka l’Authemtik Paysan). Il s’agit de la danse du Tabarnak. Avec ce titre, on s’attend à une chanson de Eminem avec des f*** à tous les 2 mots. Finalement, c’est une toune bien distrayante à laquelle nous avons à faire.
Comme il y a eu les danses de l’été avec la Lambada et autre soca dance, nous avons dorénavant la danse de l’hiver spécial Québec avec Le Tabarnak. Le rythme est entrainant et facile à prendre, il suffit de lever un pied et de bouger sur l’autre.

Le plus impressionnant dans cette chanson, ce n’est pas la chorégraphie, simple et efficace, mais c’est cette fierté québécoise qui ressort finalement des paroles. On ressent une envie de mettre le Québec et Montréal sur la map.
À l’heure des interminables discussions sur les accommodements (dé)raisonnables, une partie de la jeunesse en noir et blanc se lève pour présenter un autre visage du Québec. Une jeunesse dans une province multicolore, avec une ville multiculturelle, qui ne se pose pas la question de son intégration dans un pays qui est le sien et qui le danse et le chante fièrement.

Bon, il faut vraiment que je remette les pendules à l’heure ici. « Le tabarnac » n’est qu’un émule de la très populaire chanson états-unienne « Crank that » de Souljah Boy qui a remis sur la touche, depuis peu de temps, le concept de « danse à apprendre », mais sur du hip-hop (ou plus spécialement le style « crank», au rythme très lent).
