Dimanche 22 avril, une poignée de blogueurs, en majorité français, se sont retrouvés au Café Meliès de Montréal pour suivre en direct le résultat du premier tour pour l’élection présidentielle française.
À 11h30, l’installation commencée avec un écran plat 22″, un ordinateur portable et un système de son mis gracieusement à disposition par Christian. Reliée en Internet sans fil, l’installation de fortune pouvait enfin diffuser en direct le journal télévisé de France 24.
À midi tapante, le gros de la troupe était présent. Les claviers commençaient à crépiter, et les blogues à déverser leurs premiers articles. Pour une fois, la parité était respectée entre Mac et PC. Il faut remercier le G4 de Steve, digne représentant du journal The Gazette, d’avoir permis cet équilibre.
Piqué de curiosité par l’ambiance bon enfant qui régnait les lieux, quelques badauds, français et québécois, se sont joints à la joyeuse bande de blogueurs.
Au final, se sont près de 200.000 visiteurs, statistiques à l’appui, qui se sont réunis autour des blogues de Philippe, Christophe, Ian, Jean-Philippe, Christian, Véronique, Franck, Steve, Stéphane et Ze Canada.
