De l’autre côté de l’Atlantique, les Français portent exactement les mêmes accusations. Trop de sondages tueraient l’information. Le chiffre le plus impressionnant reste celui du nombre d’insatisfaits d’indécis, qui serait de 42%… selon les derniers sondages.
Tout se jouerait dans les minutes qui précèdent le moment fatidique où le bulletin doit rentrer dans l’urne. Quel élément ferait pencher la balance à droite ou à gauche (ou au centre), c’est encore un mystère pour nombre de personnes.
La polémique actuelle, qui enfle sur les blogues, porte justement sur ce laps de temps réduit, d’à peine deux heures, juste avant la fermeture des bureaux de scrutin et l’annonce officielle des “gagnants”.
En France, une loi interdit la diffusion des résultats avant l’heure officielle, soit 20h00. Mais, ces lois ne portant pas au-delà des frontières de l’hexagone. Des journaux étrangers, belges et suisses pour les francophones, mettent en ligne dès 18h00 les résultats des élections françaises.
Un animateur français a relancé la polémique en proposant de diffuser sur son blog les “rumeurs” de résultats à partir de 18h00. S’en est suivi un appel aux blogueurs pour ne pas relayer l’information, pour protéger la démocratie. Christophe, blogueur franco-québécois, affiche déjà son soutien à cette initiative.

Absolument personne, et moi, en tant qu’internaute, j’irai consulter les résultats. La loi n’interdit pas la prise de connaissance (quand même !) mais la transmission et la diffusion, pour éviter les manipulations et protéger le scrutin.
@Versac: c’est bien ce que j’avais compris. Par contre, si le procédé de Morandini est limite, il soulève quand même une question pertinente : pourquoi ne pas harmoniser l’ouverture des bureaux de vote ? Ces différences entrainent forcément des inégalités.
Mais pourquoi ce délai dans la divulgation des résultats? Je peux comprendre ici, au Canada, il y a différents fuseaux horaires, mais en France, ce si petit pays, je dois avouer que je ne comprends pas où se situe le problème. Si les résultats sont disponibles à 18h, c’est que les bureaux sont fermés non?

Le coeur du problème est que seuls les bureaux des grandes villes ferment à 20h. Beaucoup d’autres ferment à 18h, ce qui permet de faire un décompte et d’avoir ces fameuses estimations.
La solution serait peut-être que l’ensemble des bureaux de vote ferme à la même heure. Une autre solution serait de sceller les urnes jusqu’à 20h00, afin que tous les bureaux de vote dépouillent à la même heure. Les DOM/TOM ont cette pratique.

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine.
