Avant de s’installer au Canada, tous ses amis avaient prévenu Coudu: “il va faire froid et l’hiver sera rude!” Les courriers électroniques reçu pour la nouvelle année confirment la chose: “il doit faire super froid au Québec en ce moment?”
Aujourd’hui, mercredi 3 janvier, la saison hivernale a débuté sur l’ensemble de l’hémisphère nord depuis une dizaine de jours… sauf au Québec!
Le temps est dès plus clément à Montréal et sur l’ensemble de la province. Le mois de décembre avait pourtant bien commencé avec une tempête de glace le 1er décembre. Deux semaines après, les Montréalais attendaient toujours que l’hiver pointe le bout de son nez. Et le 19 décembre, ce ne sont que quelques petits cristaux d’eau congelée qui ont parsemé les rues de la capitale de la belle province.
Pour les fêtes de fin d’année, les Québécois attendaient la neige de pied ferme. Il n’était pas question d’avoir un Noël vert. Mais leur voeu n’a pas été exaucé, et le 25 décembre fut des plus ensoleillés. Pour se rattraper, le Père Noël envoya 10cm de neige le 26 décembre. Mais les températures, trop clémente pour la saison, eurent raison des ces beaux flocons.
Les dernières prédictions météorologiques promettent un beau soleil pour les jours à venir. Ce matin, la radio CKOI annonçait jusqu’à 16°C pour samedi. Avec de telles températures, les plus courageux pourront se baigner tout nus sur la plage de Montréal.
