Les primaires débuteront le 3 janvier 2008 pour le parti démocrate et le parti républicains. Le grand rendez-vous des finaliste se tiendra le 4 novembre 2008 pour déterminer le prochain président des États-Unis d’Amérique. George W. Bush finira par laisser son fauteuil le 20 janvier 2009.

Pour la première fois, il y a de grandes chances que le Président des États-Unis ne soit pas un WASP. Cette élection sera celle de tous les symboles, avec la possibilité d’avoir un noir, une femme ou même un italien à la tête du pays.
