Myriam Bédard est très célèbre au Canada. Tout d’abord par son passé glorieux de biathlète. Elle a remporté trois médailles aux Jeux olympiques, en 1992 et 1994, et cette même année elle fut consacrée athlète féminine au Canada.
Si Myriam Bédard ne s’était pas retrouvée au milieu du scandale des commandites, elle aurait peut-être pu garder l’image d’une sportive d’exception. Hélas, elle fut par la suite mal conseillée par son nouveau compagnon, Nima Mazhari.
Nima Mazhari est un artiste peintre / photographe, philosophe et grand gourou à ses heures perdues. Ses interventions devant les médias ont donné une bonne idée de la taille de son égo.
Depuis un an, Myriam Bédard et son conjoint viennent régulièrement défrayer la chronique, histoire que les Canadiens se souviennent bien d’eux. En décembre 2006, la biathlète a bénéficié d’un mandat d’arrêt international pour avoir enlevé sa fille à la garde de son ex-mari, tout en s’enfuyant aux États-Unis.
Cette semaine, la championne olympique fait de nouveau parler d’elle pour un procès civil contre son architecte. Le prochain rendez-vous de Madame Myriam Bédard, qui se tiendra le 11 juin 2007, pour le procès de l’enlèvement de sa fille.
En attendant, nous pouvons compter sur les médias québécois pour découvrir de nouveaux épisodes, avec “Myriam Bédard face à son plombier,” “Myriam Bédard fait du vélo et renverse un landau “, etc.
